Podium finish with Spring Nationals at East Alabama Motor Speedway
Kicking off a doubleheader weekend in the state of Alabama, Garrett Smith was one of 31 Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals entries at Buckshot Speedway (Clanton, Ala.) on Friday afternoon.
Locking himself into the $7,553-to-win feature through qualifying, Smith was running inside the Top-10 when he pulled off the track with a flat tire. He was scored 15th in the running order.
Hoping for better luck at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) on Saturday, Garrett started ninth in the $10,053-to-win event and gained six positions to round out the podium in third. He trailed Kyle Bronson and Zack Mitchel while Ashton Winger and Dalton Cook finished out the Top-5.
