Smith Returns to Golden Isles

Garrett Smith returned to Golden Isles Speedway (Waynesville, Ga.) over the weekend for the Deuces Wild doubleheader with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS).

Unfortunately, Friday's $10,000-to-win program fell victim to rain. On Saturday sunnier skies prevailed and action came to life with 45 entries in the pit area. Via the B-Main Garrett raced into the $20,000-to-win finale, where he started in the 18th position.

The Georgia racer went on to advance four spots to finish 14th in the 50-lap finale.
